Firstly, welcome to our brand new website. We’re very excited to see it go live. We have tried our best to make it informative and user friendly and we’re now able to update and expand the content quickly.

The site now offers information about Lyme and Vector Borne Diseases, Fibromyalgia, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity alongside information about Myalgic Encephalomyelitis & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. And, as you can see, we’ve added a blog which will include interviews, articles by people with the conditions and health professionals. Currently the site may be a little light on in some areas but we will be continuing to add and update content. Please get in touch with us if you would like to help out with this.

The new site was largely created by people with the conditions we represent, so we traded pace for passion. In particular, we’re really thankful to Alanah Clayton who has done an amazing job building the site and Troy Heron who got the whole thing started. We also really appreciate those who shared references and the Lyme Disease Association of Australia who authored the information on Lyme. We also couldn’t have done it without the generous support of Karyn Crimmin and Kellie Warner.
Our second item of big news is that after much discussion and negotiation we have decided that in order to stay productive we need to change our working format. On the 30th of June 2015 Change for Me Inc. will be de-registering as an Incorporated Association and Registered Charity and instead we will be operating as an ‘Online Collective’. From this point on we will be known simply as ‘Change for Me’. The reason for this change is simply so we can continue to do what we do best. Operating as an official charity requires us to spend enormous amounts of time and energy on dealing with legal and financial requirements such as audits, taxation etc and this leaves us little in our gas tanks to actually be productive for the Neuro-Immune community. Amara will be writing a more specific post about this shortly.

Thirdly, during our time as an official charity we did amass a sum of over $10 000 which came in through donations. We are pleased and excited to now be able to pass that money on to the NCNED (National Centre for Neuroimmunology and Emerging Diseases) who are doing unbelievable things to help the future of people suffering with Neuro-Immune diseases. We will be having an official ceremony and presentation of the money in August so stayed tuned for more on that.

Happy surfing Changers.
